Web Design

The most important factor in having a website is professional web design. A website that stands out from the crowd is the difference between you & your competitors.

The truth is that most web designers, myself included, do not know your business better than you do. So if you want to get the most from your web designer you need to give him/her the right information.

These are some important questions that you need to ask yourself before contacting a freelance web designer.

1.       What exactly do you want to achieve from the website?

2.       How do you think your customers will find you? Online or offline?

3.       How are you planning to promote your website?

4.       Is a website really the best vehicle for your industry?

5.       Why should people choose your service or product over your competitors?

6.       What is the number one thing that you want your website visitors to do when they are there?

7.       Do you have a customer persona for your business? (A succinct description of a customer)

8.       Do you just need the website to showcase your service or product only, or do you want it to be able to handle payments as well?

9.       If you have to choose one of these two elements - design and function, which one would it be?

10.    Do you want to be able to add and remove contents yourself without the need of a web designer?
